Georgia Law Exempts Homeschoolers from Jury Duty

This may be interesting to those of you also living in Georgia, and homeschooling - as of 2006 the primary homeschooling parent (or tutor, if you've hired one) can be excused or deferred from jury duty during the time of teaching. Yeah this is two years' old, but I thought it was worth pointing out anyway.

Another thing to be aware of, if you're homeschooling in GA and plan to send your kids to college, is that homeschoolers currently can't get the HOPE scholarship until after attending at least a semester of college (30 semester or 45 quarter hours), and maintaining a 3.0 GPA.
