Peel a Hard Boiled in 5 seconds

Eureka! Every time I peel a hard boiled egg I find myself thinking, "Someone, somewhere, knows a secret for doing this easily and quickly." At last, I have found it. Unfortunately, this method works best if you're preparing the egg for yourself, 'cause obviously no one else will want to eat it.

Homsomever, observe...

Heheh... so have you tried it yet?

I've got this strange feeling that it just wouldn't work for me. I'd end up with cracked shell everywhere. Most of it still stuck on the egg.

But, I'll give it a go. Next time I have to prepare eggs for everyone... *grin*

I don't eat breakfast Monday-Friday, so I'll have to wait until this weekend to give it a shot. I'll let you know how it goes. :-)

Haha! That is definitely a guy's, "foom"-ey way to do things!

Many ladies (and probably some men, too) know that piercing the blunt end of the egg before boiling it will do the trick every time. If you allow the air to escape in this way, the shell nearly slides off after you crack it. That is, unless you pierce the wrong end, and the eggwhite seeps into the water. Even if you pierce the wrong end, I think it's still easier to peel than without the hole.

And, guess what! I bought Monica an egg slicer that also has a piercer! Woo Hoo!

Hmm, that's nifty to know. Howsomever I think I prefer the "blowing" method, if it really works. :-)

Yeah, I thought you would.

Ben's reaction: "Oh, cool! Let me see that again!"

And... we were subjected to this guy's goofy grin once more.
