Jail Time for Speaking Out

Congress is trying to pass a bill that would require grassroots causes, bloggers, and basically anyone who communicates with 500 or more members of the public to register quarterly with Congress.

If someone "knowingly and willingly" failed to report they could face up to a year of jail time. According to this article, "For the first time in history,
critics of Congress will need to register and report with Congress itself."
