This sounds... Devilish

I'm sure you've heard about Ted Haggard's dilemma. If not, you can read about it here.

These allegations sound so far-fetched and bizarre, I have to say it sounds like something Devily and Devilish to discredit the main-most opponent of gay-marriage and so forth. One of the allegations is that he was smoking meth?

Oh c'mon. And it's all over the news - the liberal media is having a hay-day, with inflamatory headlines like Pastor Takes Leave Amid Allegations of Gay Sex, and US Evangelist in Male Prostitute Claim.

Hopefully I'm not being naive.

[Update: Perhaps I was being naive. The latest reports have Ted Haggard admitting to some, but not all of the allegations (whatever that means: was he smoking meth or having gay sex?). And there're reports that the male prostitute has voice mail recordings of Ted requesting his services.]
