This Morning's Sermon...

...on the train was about the Mark of the Beast. A young gentleman stood up behind me (I have yet to actually see any train preachers) and said "Good mornin'! How y'all doin'?!"

You could feel the entire train tense up.

And then he started his sermon, which was basically that computer chips were the Mark of the Beast, and that they were being used in some state or something, and so forth. I couldn't hear much for the train noise. And then he stopped with, "I just wanted to share that with y'all this morning".

This afternoon's sermon

My coworkers and I took our boss out for her last meal at this little restaurant behind our building. I did not choose the restaurant. All of the waiters were gay. One of the waiters passed another carrying a tray of food to our table and said, "Thank you honey". Do huh whut?

Halfway through the meal my coworkers began to discuss when and how they quit smoking cigarettes. According to one of them, you can never truly quit... you'll always take at least a casual puff now and then. I stared at the table cloth. After several minutes of such scintillating conversation, one of them turned to me and said, "I've always admired people that don't drink or smoke or anything like that, like Bob". I could smell the alcohol on his breath.

I took another sip of water.
