Spring Break

The Word from the Wife™ is that the kiddies are enjoying themselves immensely at their aunt's country estate. And Sophie too. I guess she hasn't been eaten by wild country critters yet. Or their enormous tabby cat named Tigger.

Why is it that long distance phone conversations with your spouse are always punctuated by a whiny/screaming/crying kid in the background? Do kids automatically become distressed when Mom picks up the phone?

I think tonight I will forego the traditional single-guy fast-food menu and maybe order takeout from this fabulous Thai restaurant that's on the way home from work. Or maybe Mexican. So many choices!
