Expect the Worst?

Have you ever heard the story of the Indian who shot his first deer and was so happy he went skipping over hill and dale, shouting happily at the top of his voice, until...KABLAM! Lightning struck his happy self. Moral: Never be too happy, lest evil befall you.

Oh Really?

Who came up with that story anyway? Obviously someone who has never skipped over hill and dale. :-)

Results from a recent study show that being pessimistic before a test or race can actually make you feel worse if you perform badly than if you had just been cheery from the start.

In other words, expect the best, and you won't be disappointed.
