Mumble-mumble

My apologies for a too-long hiatus from blogging! I have been smokingly busy at work, in fact I still am, but I thought I would take a few moments to purge my mind of a few extraneous thoughts.

I've noticed, as has my wife, that when I'm more stressed than normal I tend to mutter and mumble. My hair is also slightly receding and turning speckled-gray, but that's beside the point! Only moments ago I was descending the stairs when I suddenly realized I had been muttering and sputtering to myself. Wow, was I glad no one heard me!

But one day I did get caught. I was at the soda fountain, refilling my supply of the nasty stuff while simultaneously pontificating some heinous work-related matter, muttering and sputtering all the while, when I turned around to greet one of the firm's illustrious Partners rounding the corner just in time to catch me mid-muse.

Shocked, he made no greeting, nor did I as I beat a hasty retreat back to my office.

Yet another unfortunate drive-by victim of Musings by Bob.
