The joys of work

What a wonderful day at work today! Not. I started off by listening to an entire sermon this morning on the way to work. I don't know the name of the sermon, I just turned on my mp3 player and tried not to drive too close to any eighteen wheelers, but I got to work feeling fantastic.

And then began the day of a million tasks, culminating with one of our wonderful project managers (which is different from a boss-type manager) accusing me on the phone of not being as dedicated to her project as I should be. There were even some veiled threats thrown into the mix, which, to be quite honest, lit a fire in my belly, shall we say. There were no outstanding issues, as far as I was aware of, and I had completed all of my tasks on schedule. So what was the deal?

On reflection, this may have had something to do with it, if ya know whut I mean.

Nevertheless, I was still shaking when I got off the phone. Which brought to mind an important question for the sistren out there...

Why in the world would you ever not want to stay at home and raise children?
