A Busy Weekend

Last Saturday my buddy Zach and I went with some brothers from church to a rest (or nursing, depending on your locale) home. I told Zachary ahead of time that we would be seeing some very old and possibly very sick people, and hopefully make them feel a little better. We sang songs for almost 2 hours, Zach sang "Jesus loves me", and then adjourned to one of the brother's houses where his wife had thrown together a fantastic spaghetti lunch.

Then we skedaddled on home to change the oil in Monica's car; my entire family sat in a semi-circle to watch Daddy under the car. Esther got oil on her hands and got in trouble, hehe.

And now for some not so great news. This morning I went with Monica and Esther to Monica's OB/GYN, where they confirmed that her pregancy had terminated. Fortunately we were prepared, so no tears were shed.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the way it is. :-)
