Optical Traffic Cops

Scientists have figured out how to bring light from 186,282 miles a second to a dead stop, and then make it zoom off again. And now they've figured out how to transport a stopped pulse of light from one place to another.

Sort of like grabbing light out of the air, hanging onto it for a while, moving it somewhere else, and then letting it go again to fly like a bird at lightspeed.
