Gospel by a Locust Quartet

Yet another so-called Christian musical group has popped up, this time in Atlanta, and to the style of something called crunk, which Wikipedia says is a type of hip-hop music, but is also slang "referring to the state of being both drunk from alcohol and high on marijuana, at the same time."

Dude. That ain't right.

Which is what a lot of people are saying. The Associated Press says (thanks to concerned reader Jennifer for the article), "This high-energy act could stand as the headliner at any nightclub". And according to one reviewer, "I doubt very seriously that these misguided children are jumping up and down from the joy of the Lord... I highly suspect it's the BEAT that's got them riled up."

No kidding. But wrongness wasn't always this obvious, was it? Remember when Elvis Presley sang Only Believe like an angel, and then jiggled his behind on his day job? Slowly and slyly at first the Devil creeped, like a little worm. A palmerworm. Until he grew greater and greater until he was everywhere.

Like a swarm of locusts.
