Your Questions Answered

One night on the way home from work I was listening to Charles Stanley giving his explanation of what the Holy Ghost was for, which was roughly that it was given to help us live a better life, and to walk in the predestinated plan that God has prepared for us.

I agree absolutely. But I believe the purpose of the Holy Ghost goes oh so much deeper than that. But I wouldn't know how much deeper if it weren't for God sending a little man to open every mystery that had been locked up in the Bible for millenia.

For example:
How could eating an apple cause Adam and Eve to realize they were naked and cause the entire earth to be cursed?

Why was Cain's sacrifice rejected, while Abel's was not?

How can three "persons" make one God?

Was Peter remembering the words Jesus spake in Matthew 28:19 incorrectly when he spake the words recorded in Acts 2:38?

And many many more.

Interestingly, I've noticed that God often doesn't answer my questions in the order in which they're asked. And sometimes it takes a looong time before a question is answered. I've been as much as a year behind my pastor before... I don't understand what he's saying, and then the door begins to slowly creak open, imperceptibly, until one day I realize the door is standing wide open. And there's another one waiting just inside.

Precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little, there a little.

There's a Bible answer for every Bible question. Don't stop asking.

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Luke 11:9-10
