News from the Home Front

We're closing on the houses this Friday. I will be so-ho-ho glad to get all this over with. We've had a lot going on the last few weeks, which accounts for not blogging as much.

Have you got your copy of Generations yet? My parents ordered one for us, and I can't say enough good things about this book. Last Friday I had to work late and didn't get home until almost midnight, and I made the mistake of picking up this book with the thought that I would read just a little before going to bed. Ha! I didn't get to bed until after 1:00, and only then because I couldn't keep my eyes open.

The kiddies are staying with their Mimi and Poppy this week, and are having the time of their lives, swimming in the pool, going to the beach, and I suspect being waited on hand and foot. I miss 'em; the house is not the same without the pitter-patter of little feet. As hard as I try, I can't understand people that don't want to have kids, or that gripe about how hard kids are to raise, blah blah ad infinitum.

I'll be glad when we're settled into our new home and everything's back to normal.
