The Letter

The sun is setting on the ill-fated life of TurboGrade.com. Let this be a lesson to you all: education is a tough market to crack. Ahh well, we've got other tricks up our sleeves.

Here's the letter my cohort sent out yestiddy evenin'. The feeling I have right now is a micro-dose of sadness mixed with a healthy portion of "good riddance".


Dear TurboGrade.com user,

Due to our inability to meet operating costs, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue our online gradebook site, TurboGrade.com. Effective July 31, 2006, the TurboGrade.com web site will be permanently taken offline.

There are several other grading web sites available that support importing data from text files. If we can assist your transition to another grading system by providing data exports to you from TurboGrade, please let us know by responding to this email by 7/31/06. However, if you need to keep a paper copy of your TurboGrade information/grades for your records, you can simply print the data you need from the reports section of the TurboGrade.com website.

I regret having to send this email, and want to thank you for using TurboGrade. We have been able to provide this service for two years, thanks to your support. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.
