"I'm doooone"

Last night I downloaded the brand spankin' new Age of Empires 3 demo, which meant I didn't get to bed until around midnight. But I must say that, wowsers, the new game is lots of fun. They've really done an incredible job with the realism. Leaves fall from the trees, which sway every time a little villager chops with an axe, and all of the villagers carry guns, so they can defend themselves (I like that kinda stuff). I foresee many hours of fun with this game, which isn't officially out yet, but you can play for free by downloading the demo (see link above).

As soon as my head dropped on my pillow, a little frog hopped around outside until it was perfectly aligned with one of my ears, and began to sing its heart out. Or should I say, croak. It sounded like a rusty wind-up toy, and every so often it would stop, I would sigh and settle into the sheets, and then my eyeballs would bulge out as it suddenly cranked up again. But finally I fell asleep, only to be awaked at 4:00 AM by a barely whispered...

"I'm dooooonneee".

My eyes flew open. What am I hearing? I looked around squinty-eyed, and there in the doorway stood a mysterious apparition, a little girl in her nighty. She was obviously "done". I leapt out of bed and prodded her back to the bathroom, patted her down and helped her back into her clothes. By now I was wide awake, and was starting to feel like a bear that had been robbed of his honey. *Grumble*. I shooed her and her little piggy-tails back to bed, and stumbled through the dark back to my lair.

The next sound I heard was my little girl coming into the room this morning and telling Monica, "Good Mowning!". Then she looked over at me still laying half-asleep in the bed and said proudly, "That's my Dod"!

The little booger.
